Director of Education Abroad
Ella Sweigert
Born and raised in Hungary, Ella Sweigert completed her Bachelor of Arts in Teaching degree with a double major in History/ Russian Language and Literature at the Janus Pannonius University of Pecs. She earned a Master of Arts in Education (M.A.E.) degree in College/University Student Services at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. Ella has been working in higher education since 1995 in roles as diverse as Career Planning Advisor, Study Abroad Coordinator, and Assistant Director at public and private institutions such as the University of Iowa, the University of Northern Iowa and Arcadia University. She is an active member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators. Ms. Sweigert provides leadership and manages the Education Abroad section (CUAbroad) of the Center for Global Education. In addition to English, she is fluent in Hungarian and speaks Russian and some French. Her travel experience includes countries in Western and Eastern Europe, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
 
 

Global Program Manager
Madison Bolls
Madison Bolls is a Global Program Manager with CUAbroad, assisting and advising students in their preparations for education abroad. She grew up in the suburbs of Richmond, VA, and moved to the D.C. area to study at George Mason University. She was able to snag student work at the study abroad office, and has been an advocate for international study and travel ever since. After studying in Monaco, Greece, and Turkey and working at London's British Museum, she completed a degree in Art History and Art Administration, focusing in ancient art. Her travels have included the United Kingdom, the Mediterranean and Guatemala. She is thrilled to be a part of the CGE team, and looks forward to assisting the CUA community in broadening their horizons!
