Leading an education program under the auspices of The Catholic University of America is both a wonderful opportunity and a serious responsibility. The information in this section of the Education Abroad website provides faculty and staff who serve as program directors or assistants the resources they need to lead successful programs. 

 

Where to Begin

CUAbroad Programs

Requirements, planning, and steps for program directors who will be participating in an international program organized through the Office of Education Abroad. Examples include summer institutes and Honors Spring Break.

Non-CUAbroad Programs

Requirements, planning, and steps for program directors who will be participating in an international program organized through an outside office or school. Examples include Architecture, Athletics, Campus Ministry, and Law.

Resources

Overseas Program Director Training

All program directors must attend a mandatory training session prior to leading students abroad. This will keep you up-to-date on student preparation, legal concerns, finances, and other responsibilities. Program directors for recurring programs must receive the training at a minimum once every two years.
