Introduction
Students get the opportunity to study at the Australian Catholic Univerisity, based in either the Brisbane or Melbourne Campus. More than 16,000 students from over 85 countries participate in ACU's program,providing a unique international focus. Not only will you be able to experience Australia, but become a global citizen.
The city
Students may choose to either study in Brisbane or Melbourne. Brisbane is the capital of Queensland, which is a state known for its tropical coastline, sandy white beaches, and sunshine. It is Australia's fastest growing capital city with a population of more than 1.8 million. Brisbane's subtropical climate lends itself to a cosmopolitan lifestyle - a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with extensive parklands, botanical gardens, restaurants, and art galleries.
Melbourne is a vibrant, culturally diverse and elegant city that is the second largest capital city in Australia with a population of 3.8 million. Named on of the world's most livable cities, Melbourne is Australia's premiere city of arts, sports, and festivals.
Facilities
The Brisbane campus supplies students with a state-of-the-art library,computer lab, bookshop, coffee shop, swimming pool, and sporting grounds. Situated in the suburb of Banyo, the campus is on the site of a former Pius XII Provincal Seminary with a history extending to 1863.
The Melbourne campus, located in the suburb of Fitzroy, is just a few minutes walk from the Business District, and includes a library, computer laboratories, cafeteria, lounge, chapel, and art gallery. Some of Melbourne's finest parks and gardens are located within walking distance to the campus.
Academics and Curriculum
Students will have the opportunity to take courses from the ACU catalog, with other Australian and International students.Students will enroll in four courses (12 credits). A broad range of subjects are offered, including Aboriginal Education, Accounting, Asian Studies, Australian Studies, Behavioural Science, Business, Computing, Drama, Economics, English, Environmental Science, Education, Nursing, Pastoral Studies, Philosophy, Psychology, Religion Studies, Science Studies, Social Work, Sociology, Sports Coaching, Sports Sciences, and Theology. Accommodation and Meals
Brisbane: Students will live in a homestay, with two meals per day included.
Melbourne: Students may choose to live in an apartment or homestay. Two meals per day are included in the homestay option.
Program Costs
CUA tuition and a $5,000 program fee to cover most overseas expenses. Round-trip airfare, some meals, passport, mandatory Australian health insurance, visa, airport reception, and personal expenses are not included. Contact CUAbroad for an estimated cost breakdown sheet.

Eligibility
Applicants must have completed three semesters of college-level study by the time the program begins, enrolled full-time at the time of application and in good academic standing, and not on disciplinary probation. A minimum cumulative G.P.A. requirement is 2.8.
