The Catholic University of America

Spring 2010 Calendar

The semester begins on Friday, January 8 at 10.30am. Students are welcome to arrive in Rome before January 8, but will have to find their own accommodations. Students should not arrive before the beginning date of their visa, however, since that could cause legal complications.

The semester ends on Sunday, May 9 at noon.

Students carrying a valid US passport may extend their stay for up to 90 days on either side of their valid visa dates – i.e., arrive up to 90 days early and stay up to 90 days late - to spend time in Italy as tourists.  Staying outside those dates is against Italian law and could have serious repercussions.  Participants who are citizens of other countries may have different entry requirements. Non-US citizens must check with program staff regarding entry requirements.

A detailed semester calendar can be found here. There may be changes before the semester starts. Students should not schedule any mid-semester trips before the semester beings.

Students are expected to attend every class meeting of the courses for which they are registered. Care should be taken to not schedule trips that might lead to missed classes. See the detailed attendance policy here.
